It was almost time for the Jewish Passover. {\cf2\super [38]} So Jesus went to Jerusalem.


It was almost time for the Jewish Passover {\cf2\super [186]} festival. Many people from the country went to Jerusalem before the Passover. They went to do the special things to make themselves pure \{for the Passover\}.


Later Jesus went to Jerusalem for a special Jewish festival.


“Remember the month of Abib. [97] At that time, you must celebrate Passover [98] to honor the Lord your God. Why? Because in that month the Lord your God brought you out from Egypt by night.

On the first day of this holiday you will have a special meeting. You must not do any work {on that day}.
