I told the good news of victory {\cf2\super [252]} \par to the people in the great assembly.\par And Lord, you know that\par I will never stop telling that good news!\par


I hate my own life.\par So I will complain freely.\par My soul is very bitter,\par so now I will speak.\par


Hannah was very sad. She cried very much while she prayed to the Lord.


Look! My troubles are gone!\par I now have peace.\par You love me very much.\par You did not let me rot in the grave.\par \{You forgave all my sins.\}\par You threw my sins far away.\par

“Be quiet and let me talk!\par I accept whatever happens to me.\par


When I sin, I am guilty\par and it will be very bad for me.\par But I can’t lift up my head\par even when I am innocent!\par I am so ashamed and embarrassed.\par


Do you plan to criticize me?\par Will you speak more tiring words?\par


They said to each other, “We are being punished for the bad thing we did to our younger brother Joseph. We saw the trouble he was in. He begged us to save him. But we refused to listen. So now we are in trouble.”


I was very angry.\par And the more I thought about it,\par the angrier I became.\par So I said something.\par


“If I say,\par ‘I won’t complain.\par I will forget my pain,\par I will put a smile on my face.’\par


“I am still complaining today.\par Why? Because I am still suffering.\par


Job, you have suffered a lot.\par But don’t choose evil.\par Be careful not to do wrong.\par
