That evil person will die\par and even his own mother\par will forget him.\par His sweetheart will be the worms\par eating his body.\par People will not remember him.\par That evil person will be broken\par like a rotten stick!\par


If God tears down anything,\par people can’t build it again.\par If God puts a person in prison,\par people can’t free the person.\par


My life is almost finished,\par like the long shadows\par at the end of the day.\par I am like dry and dying grass.\par


But if that is my only hope\par then I have no hope at all.\par If that is my only hope\par then people have found me\par no hope at all.\par


My life is passing away.\par My plans are destroyed.\par My hope is gone.\par


“My days go by faster\par than a weaver’s shuttle. {\cf2\super [13]} \par And my life ends without hope.\par


“My strength is gone,\par so I have no hope to go on living.\par I don’t know what will happen to me,\par so I have no reason to be patient.\par


Then Satan went away from the Lord. Satan gave Job painful sores. The painful sores were all over Job’s body from the bottom of his feet to the top of his head.


Water flowing over stones\par wears them down.\par Floods wash away the soil on the ground.\par In the same way, God,\par you destroy a person’s hope.\par
