Now we are your servants. You can do whatever you think is right.”


So King Zedekiah said to those officials, “Jeremiah is in your control. I can’t do anything to stop you.”


But if the Lord says that he is not pleased with me, then he can do anything he wants to me.”

Joash the king didn’t remember Jehoiada’s kindness to him. Jehoiada was Zechariah’s father. But Joash killed Zechariah, Jehoiada’s son. Before Zechariah died, he said, “May the Lord see what you are doing and punish you!”


Then the king said to Haman, “Keep the money. Do what you want with those people.”
