Then I asked, “Master, how long should I do this?”


God changed the fertile land\par and it became worthless salty land.\par Why? Because of the bad people\par who were living in that place.\par


\{Leaders,\} because of you,\par Zion {\cf2\super [45]} will be destroyed.\par It will become a plowed field.\par Jerusalem will become a pile of rocks.\par Temple Mount will be an empty hill {\cf2\super [46]} overgrown with bushes.\par


At that time, the great city will be empty—it will be like a desert. All the people will be gone—they will run away. That city will be like an open pasture. Young cattle will eat grass there. The cattle will eat leaves from the branches of the vines.


They said, “Micah the prophet was from the city of Moresheth. Micah was a prophet during the time that Hezekiah was king of Judah. Micah said these things to all the people of Judah:


“I (the Lord) will make the city of Jerusalem\par a pile of garbage.\par It will be a home for jackals. {\cf2\super [75]} \par I will destroy the cities in the land of Judah,\par so no one will live there.”\par


While Joseph was in the well, the brothers sat down to eat. Then they looked and saw a group of traders [226] traveling from Gilead to Egypt. Their camels were carrying many different spices and riches.


“As surely as I live,” this message is from the Lord, “I will do this to you, Jehoiachin son of Jehoiakim, king of Judah: Even if you were a signet ring {\cf2\super [180]} on my right hand, I would still pull you off.


‘You will get the punishment you deserve.\par I will start a fire in your forests.\par That fire will completely burn everything\par around you.’”\par


“Tell these things to Judah’s royal family:\par Listen to the message from the Lord.\par


Disaster follows disaster!\par The whole country is destroyed!\par Suddenly my tents are destroyed!\par My curtains are torn down!\par


Please let me go across the Jordan River and see the good land on the other side. Let me see the beautiful hill country and Lebanon.’


The family groups of Reuben and Gad had many, many cows. Those people looked at the land near Jazer and Gilead. They saw that this land was good for their cows.


Now your mother will be very ashamed.\par The woman that gave you birth\par will be embarrassed.\par Babylon will be the least important\par of all the nations.\par She will be an empty, dry desert.\par


Lebanon, open your gates so the fire\par will come and burn your cedar trees. {\cf2\super [27]} \par


You sent your officers\par to insult the Lord my Master.\par You said,\par ‘\{I am very powerful!\}\par I have many, many chariots. {\cf2\super [354]} \par \{With my power I defeated Lebanon.\}\par I climbed the highest mountains\par of Lebanon. {\cf2\super [355]} \par I cut down all the great trees (armies)\par of Lebanon.\par I have been to the highest mountain\par and into the deepest part of that forest.\par


A lion has come out of his cave.\par A destroyer of nations has begun to march.\par He has left his home\par to destroy your land.\par Your towns will be destroyed.\par There will be no people left to live in them.\par


Surely there is some medicine in Gilead.\par Surely there is a doctor in Gilead.\par So why are the hurts of my people\par
