“Long ago I told you about the things\par that would happen.\par I told you about those things.\par And then suddenly,\par I made them happen.\par


God said that he would do this.\par He said it through his holy prophets {\cf2\super [22]} \par that lived long ago.\par


These things have been known\par from the beginning of time.’\par


“In the beginning, I told you about the things that will happen in the end. A long time ago, I told you things that had not yet happened. When I plan something—that thing happens. I do the things I want to do.


There is no other God like me. If there is, then that god should speak now. That god should come and show proof that he is like me. That god should tell me what has happened since the time I made these ancient people. That god should give signs to show that he knows what will happen in the future.


Don’t be afraid! Don’t worry! I have always told you what will happen. You are my witnesses. There is no other God—I am the only One. There is no other ‘Rock {\cf2\super [392]} ’—I know I am the only One.”


“You people have escaped from other nations. So gather together and come before me. (These people carry statues of false gods. These people pray to those useless gods. But the people don’t know what they are doing.


Why? Because I will do new things! Now you will grow like a new plant. Surely you know this is true. I really will make a road in the desert. I really will make rivers in the dry land.
