Hebrews 4:16

In Christ we can come before God with freedom and without fear. We can do this through faith in Christ.

So Christ can save those people who come to God through him. Christ can do this forever, because he always lives, ready to help people when they come before God.

So we can feel sure and say,

At one time you were not God’s people. But now you are God’s people. In the past you had never received mercy. But now you have received mercy \{from God\}.

Yes, through Christ we all have the right to come to the Father in one Spirit. {\cf2\super [13]}

The law \{of Moses\} could not make anything perfect. And now a better hope has been given to us. And with that hope we can come near to God.

The Lord said, “Talk to your brother Aaron. Tell him that he cannot go behind the curtain into the Most Holy Place [263] anytime he wants to. The Holy Box [264] is in the room behind that curtain. The special cover [265] is on top of that Holy Box. And I appear in a cloud over that special cover. If Aaron goes into that room, he might die!

Above the box were the Cherub angels {\cf2\super [98]} that showed God’s glory. These Cherub angels were over the mercy seat. {\cf2\super [99]} But we cannot say everything about these things now.

The vines will become dry. And the branches will break off. Women will use those branches for firewood.

Then David gave his son Solomon the plans for building the temple. {\cf2\super [305]} Those plans were also for the porch around the temple, and for its buildings, its storerooms, its upper rooms, its inside rooms, and for the place for the mercy seat. {\cf2\super [306]}

But Christ is faithful in ruling God’s house like a Son. We \{believers\} are God’s house (family). We are God’s house if we continue to be sure and proud of the great hope we have.
