Genesis 7:23 - Easy To Read Version

23 In this way, God wiped the earth clean—God destroyed every living thing on the earth—every man, every animal, everything that crawls, and every bird. All these things were destroyed from the earth. The only life that was left was Noah and those people and animals that were with him in the boat.

And God punished the \{evil\} people who lived long ago. God brought a flood to the world that was full of people who were against God. But God saved Noah and seven other people with Noah. Noah was a man who told people about living right.


Those were the spirits who refused to obey God long ago in the time of Noah. God was waiting patiently for them while Noah was building the big boat. Only a few people—eight in all—were saved in that boat. Those people were saved by water.


Noah was warned by God about things that Noah could not yet see. But Noah had faith and respect for God. So Noah built a large boat to save his family. With his faith, Noah showed that the world was wrong. And Noah became one of those people who are made right with God through faith.


Then that world was flooded and destroyed with water.


“Then those bad people will go away. They will have punishment forever. But the good people will go and have life forever.”


\{Yes, God did all these things.\} So the Lord \{God\} will always save the people who serve him. He will save them when troubles come. And the Lord will hold evil people and punish them while waiting for the day of judgment.


On the day God judges people, money is worth nothing. But goodness will save people from death.


You can go to God Most-High to hide.\par You can go to the God All-Powerful\par for protection.\par


He will save you from six troubles.\par Yes, might endure seven disasters\par and not be hurt!\par


You will defeat 1,000 enemies.\par Your own right hand will defeat\par 10,000 enemy soldiers.\par Your enemies will not even touch you!\par


“Understand what I am telling you. I will bring a great flood of water on the earth. I will destroy all living things that live under heaven. Everything on the earth will die.


So Noah went out with his sons, his wife, and his sons’ wives.
