God waited with patience so that he could make known his rich glory. God wanted to give that glory to the people that receive his mercy. God has prepared these people to have his glory.

These are the people of the province that came back from captivity. In the past, Nebuchadnezzar king of Babylon took these people as prisoners to Babylon. These people came back to Jerusalem and Judah. Each person went back to his own town.


{\cf2\super [37]} On the fourteenth day of the first month, {\cf2\super [38]} those Jews that came back from captivity celebrated the Passover. {\cf2\super [39]}


Lord, be kind to your country.\par Jacob’s \{people are exiles {\cf2\super [493]} \par in a foreign country.\}\par Bring the exiles back to their country.\par


Nebuzaradan took all the firepans and bowls. He took all the things made of gold for the gold. And he took all the things made of silver for the silver.


When the Lord makes us free again\par it will be like a dream!\par


The Lord All-Powerful, the God of the people of Israel, says this about the things still left in the Lord’s temple, and in the king’s palace and in Jerusalem: “All of those things will also be taken to Babylon.
