If you don’t respect my name, then bad things will happen to you. You will say blessings, {\cf2\super [9]} but they will become curses. {\cf2\super [10]} I will make bad things happen because you don’t show respect for my name!” The Lord All-Powerful said these things.


\{The Lord answered,\} “Look at the other nations! Watch them, and you will be amazed. I will do something in your lifetime that will amaze you. \{You will have to see it to believe it.\} You would not believe it if you were told about it.


The man said to me, “Son of man, {\cf2\super [309]} use your eyes and ears. Look at these things and listen to me. Pay attention to everything that I show you. Why? Because you have been brought here so I can show you these things. You must tell the family of Israel all that you see.”


And, when King Jehoiakim and his servants heard the message from the scroll, they were not afraid. They didn’t tear their clothes to show sorrow for doing wrong.


Lord, I know that you want people\par to be loyal to you.\par You hit the people of Judah,\par but they did not feel any pain.\par You destroyed them,\par but they refused to learn their lesson.\par They became very stubborn.\par They refused to be sorry\par for the bad things they did.\par


But Lord, get ready to punish those people.\par Surely they will see it, won’t they?\par Lord, show the evil people the strong love {\cf2\super [241]} \par that you have for your people.\par Surely the evil people will be ashamed.\par Surely your enemies will be burned\par in their own fire (evil).\par


If a person is stubborn and becomes more angry every time people tell him that he is doing wrong, then that person will be destroyed. There is no hope.


I looked at this and I thought about it. Then I learned a lesson from these things:


Listen to the things that I say. I will teach you the things wise men have said. Learn from these teachings.


Don’t trust the power to take things by force.\par Don’t think you will gain anything by stealing.\par And if you become rich,\par don’t trust your riches to help you.\par


God, why is man so important to you?\par Why should you honor him?\par Why do you even notice him?\par


She was about to die when the women who were helping her said, “Don’t worry! You have given birth to a son.”


he said to them, “You must be sure to pay attention to all the commands I tell you today. And you must tell your children to completely obey the commands in this Law.


But other people ignored the Lord’s message. Those people lost all their slaves and animals that were in the fields.


The magicians used their tricks and did the same thing. So Pharaoh refused to listen to Moses and Aaron. This happened just like the Lord said.


The Egyptians could not drink the water from the river. So they dug wells around the river for water to drink.


Some of Pharaoh’s officials paid attention to the Lord’s message. Those men quickly put all of their animals and slaves into houses.


If a person always respects the Lord, then that person will be blessed. But if a person is stubborn and refuses to respect the Lord, then he will have trouble.


You said,\par ‘I will live forever.\par I will always be The Queen.’\par You didn’t even notice the bad things\par you did to those people.\par You didn’t think about what would happen.\par
