4 The other son was named Eliezer, [121] because when he was born, Moses said, “The God of my father helped me and saved me from the king of Egypt.”

So we can feel sure and say,


But the Lord stayed with me. The Lord gave me strength so that I could tell the Good News {\cf2\super [23]} everywhere. The Lord wanted all the non-Jews to hear that Good News. So I was saved from the lion’s (enemy’s) mouth.


Peter realized then what had happened. He thought, “Now I know that the Lord really sent his angel to me. He rescued (saved) me from Herod. {\cf2\super [238]} The Jewish people thought that bad things would happen to me. But the Lord saved me from all these things.”


My God sent his angel to save me. The angel closed the lions’ mouths. The lions have not hurt me because my God knows I am innocent. I never did anything wrong to you, king.”


God is our storehouse of strength.\par In him, we can always find help\par in times of trouble.\par


I went to God for help.\par And he listened.\par He saved me from all the things I fear.\par


Lord, you rescued me from my enemies.\par You helped me defeat the people\par who stood against me.\par You saved me from cruel men.\par


He said,\par “Lord my strength,\par I love you!”\par


Moses’ sons were Gershom and Eliezer.


Pharaoh heard about what Moses did, so he decided to kill Moses. But Moses ran away from Pharaoh. Moses went to the land of Midian.


When Moses heard him say this, he left Egypt. He went to live in the land of Midian. He was a stranger there. While Moses lived in Midian, he had two sons.


Some people stopped great fires, and other people were saved from being killed with swords. They did those things because they had faith. Weak people were made strong because of their faith. They became powerful in battle and defeated other armies.


from the God of your father. God blesses you.


Zipporah became pregnant and had a son. Moses named him Gershom. [14] Moses gave his son this name because Moses was a stranger in a land that was not his own.


So Moses put his wife and children on the donkey and returned to Egypt. Moses carried his walking stick with him—the walking stick with the power of God.


Eliezer’s oldest son was Rehabiah. Eliezer had no other sons. But Rehabiah had very many sons.


Then Pharaoh told Moses, “Get out of here! I don’t want you to come here again! The next time you come to see me, you will die!”
