Every day the people will gather only enough food for one day. But on Friday, when the people prepare their food {for Saturday}, they will see that they have enough food for two days. [102]


When you plant in the eighth year, you will still be eating things from the old crop. You will eat the old crop until the ninth year, when the crop {you planted in the eighth year} comes in.


That year is Jubilee. It will be a holy time for you. You will eat the crops that come from the field.


But Moses called to them. So Aaron and all the leaders of the people went to Moses. Moses talked with them.


The Lord says, ‘Each person should gather what he needs. Each of you should gather a basket [106] for every person in your family.’”


Every morning the people gathered the food. Each person gathered as much as he could eat. But by noon [107] the food melted and was gone.
