17 You must completely destroy all the people—the Hittites, the Amorites, the Canaanites, the Perizzites, the Hivites, and the Jebusites. The Lord your God has commanded you to do this.

If a person does not do what the Lord says,\par if he does not use his sword\par to kill those people,\par then bad things will happen\par to that person.\par
