6 But a person should not be punished with death if only one witness says that person did the evil thing. But if two or three witnesses say it is true, then the person must be killed.

“A killer should be put to death as a murderer only if there are witnesses. No person can be put to death if there is only one witness.


Any person who refused to obey the law of Moses was found guilty from the proof given by two or three witnesses. That person was not forgiven. He was killed.


Don’t listen to a person who accuses an elder. {\cf2\super [31]} You should listen to that person only if there are two or three other people who can say what the elder did wrong.


But if that person refuses to listen, then go to him again and bring one or two people with you. Then there will be two or three other people that will be able to tell all that happened. {\cf2\super [253]}
