My God, I want to do what you want.\par I know your teachings.\par


Lord, you made me understand this: {\cf2\super [250]} \par You don’t really want\par sacrifices {\cf2\super [251]} and grain offerings.\par You don’t really want\par burnt offerings and sin offerings.\par


Remember, you were slaves in Egypt. And the Lord your God set you free. So that is why I am giving you this command today.


Make this servant put his ear against your door, and use a sharp tool to make a hole in his ear. This will show that he is your slave forever. You must do this even to the women slaves that want to stay with you.
