12 The little horn sinned and stopped the daily sacrifices. It threw goodness down to the ground. The little horn did these things and was very successful.

Lord, if I argue with you,\par you are always right!\par But I want to ask you about some things that don’t seem right.\par Why are wicked people successful?\par Why do people you can’t trust have such easy lives?\par


Justice has turned away from us.\par Fairness stands far away.\par Truth has fallen in the streets.\par Goodness is not allowed to enter the city.\par


The animal was given power to make war against God’s holy people {\cf2\super [93]} and to defeat them. The animal was given power over every tribe, race of people, language, and nation.

I watched the ram run into things with its horns. I watched the ram run to the west and to the north and to the south. No animal could stop the ram. And no one could save the other animals. That ram could do whatever it wanted to do. So the ram became very powerful.


Lord, your goodness is forever.\par And your teachings can be trusted.\par


Let me always speak your true teachings.\par Lord, I depend on your wise decisions.\par


But robbers’ tents are not bothered.\par People who make God angry live in peace,\par and their own strength\par is their only god!\par

As I was watching, this little horn began attacking and making war against God’s special people. And the horn was killing them.
