Daniel 4:4
13 Referencias Cruzadas

“At that time, I will take a lamp and search through Jerusalem. I will find all the people that are satisfied to live their own way. Those people say, ‘The Lord does nothing. He does not help and he does not hurt!’ I will find those people and I will punish them!

Say, ‘The Lord my Master says these things:

Your beauty made you proud.\par Your glory ruined your wisdom.\par So I threw you down to the ground.\par And now other kings stare at you.\par

“Moab has never known trouble.\par Moab is like wine left to settle.\par Moab has never been poured\par from one jar to another.\par He has not been taken into captivity.\par So he tastes like he did before.\par And his smell has not changed.”\par

They come and say,\par “I will drink some wine.\par I will drink some beer.\par I will do the same thing tomorrow.\par Only, I will drink even more.”\par

Then Daniel (also named Belteshazzar) became very quiet for about an hour. The things he was thinking bothered him. So the king said, “Belteshazzar (Daniel), don’t let the dream or its meaning make you afraid.”

The king is asking something that is too hard to do. Only the gods could tell the king his dream and what it means. But the gods don’t live with people.”

So all the king’s wise men came in. But they could not read the writing. They could not understand what it meant.
