11 The next night the Lord \{Jesus\} came and stood by Paul. He said, “Be brave! You have told people in Jerusalem about me. You must also go to Rome to tell people there about me!”

After these things, Paul made plans to go to Jerusalem. Paul planned to go through the countries of Macedonia and Achaia, and then go to Jerusalem. Paul thought, “After I visit Jerusalem, I must also visit Rome.”


During the night, Paul had a vision. {\cf2\super [366]} The Lord said to him, “Don’t be afraid! Continue talking to people and don’t stop!


But the Lord stayed with me. The Lord gave me strength so that I could tell the Good News {\cf2\super [23]} everywhere. The Lord wanted all the non-Jews to hear that Good News. So I was saved from the lion’s (enemy’s) mouth.


But Jesus quickly spoke to them. Jesus said, “Don’t worry! It’s me! Don’t be afraid.”


It is clear why I am in prison. I am in prison because I am a believer in Christ. All the Roman guards know this, and so do all the other people.


Don’t worry, I am with you.\par Don’t be afraid, I am your God.\par I will make you strong.\par I will help you.\par I will support you with my good\par right hand.\par


Some people brought to Jesus a man that was paralyzed (crippled). The man was lying on a mat. Jesus saw that these people had much faith. So Jesus said to the paralyzed man, “Young man, you’ll be glad to hear this! Your sins are forgiven.”


When you have troubles, I am with you. When you cross rivers, you will not be hurt. When you walk through fire, you will not be burned; the flames will not hurt you.


Precious Judah, don’t be afraid!\par My dear {\cf2\super [377]} people of Israel, don’t be scared!\par I really will help you.”\par


I saw Jesus, and Jesus said to me: ‘Hurry! Leave Jerusalem now! The people here will not accept the truth about me.’


But now I must obey the Holy Spirit {\cf2\super [404]} and go to Jerusalem. I don’t know what will happen to me there.


David {\cf2\super [30]} said this about Jesus:


“I told you these things so that you can have peace in me. In this world you will have trouble. But be brave! I have defeated the world!”


“I will not leave you all alone like children without parents. I will come back to you.


Teach those people to obey everything that I have told you. You can be sure that I will be with you always. I will continue with you until the end of the world.”


“In the beginning, I told you about the things that will happen in the end. A long time ago, I told you things that had not yet happened. When I plan something—that thing happens. I do the things I want to do.


Why? Because the Lord stands by\par helpless people.\par God saves them from other people\par who try to condemn them to death.\par


I have five brothers. Lazarus could warn my brothers so that they will not come to this place of pain.’


You will be his witness to all people. You will tell men about the things you have seen and heard.


I am a free man! I am an apostle {\cf2\super [52]} ! I have seen Jesus our Lord! You people are \{an example of\} my work in the Lord.
