So we should be finished with the beginning lessons about Christ. We should not go back to the things we started with. We began \{our life in Christ\} by turning away from the evil things we did before and by believing in God.


The eye cannot say to the hand, “I don’t need you!” And the head cannot say to the foot, “I don’t need you!”


Apollos had been taught about the Lord (Jesus). Apollos was always very excited {\cf2\super [371]} when he talked to people about Jesus. The things Apollos taught about Jesus were right. But the only baptism {\cf2\super [372]} that Apollos knew about was the baptism that John {\cf2\super [373]} taught.


So Paul and Barnabas stayed in Iconium a long time, and they spoke bravely for the Lord. Paul and Barnabas told the people about God’s grace (kindness). The Lord proved that what they said was true by helping the apostles {\cf2\super [283]} (Paul and Barnabas) do miracles and wonders. {\cf2\super [284]}


But grow in the grace (kindness) and knowledge of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. Glory be to him now and forever! Amen.


Don’t fool yourselves. If any person among you thinks that he is wise in this world, then he should become a fool. Then that person can become truly wise.


Paul and the Jews chose a day for a meeting. On that day many more of these Jews met with Paul at his house. Paul spoke to them all day long. Paul explained the kingdom of God to them. Paul tried to persuade them to believe the things about Jesus. He used the law of Moses and the writings of the prophets {\cf2\super [527]} to do this.


The man said, “How can I understand? I need some person to explain it to me!” Then he invited Philip to climb in and sit with him.


If a person wants to do what God wants, then that person will know that my teaching comes from God. That person will know that this teaching is not my own.


Then Jesus began to explain everything that had been written about himself in the Scriptures. {\cf2\super [393]} Jesus started with the books of Moses and then he talked about what the prophets had said about him.


The king said, ‘The person that uses what he has will get more. But the person that does not use what he has will have everything taken away from him.


I tell you the truth. You must accept the kingdom of God like a little child accepts things, or you will never enter it.”


Shout as loud as you can!\par Don’t stop yourself!\par Shout loud like a trumpet!\par Tell the people about the wrong things\par they have done!\par Tell Jacob’s family about their sins!\par


If a wise person gives you a warning, it is worth more than gold rings or jewelry made from the finest gold.


If you teach a wise man, then he will become wiser. If you teach a good man, then he will learn more.


Even wise people should listen to these words. They will learn more and become even wiser. And people who are skilled at solving problems will gain even more understanding.


The person who thinks he knows something does not yet know anything like he should.


Paul stayed with the brothers (believers) for many days. Then he left and sailed for Syria. Priscilla and Aquila were also with him. At Cenchrea, Paul cut off his hair. {\cf2\super [368]} \{This showed that\} he had made a promise (vow) to God.


Paul went into the synagogue {\cf2\super [384]} and spoke very boldly. Paul continued doing this for three months. He talked with the Jews and persuaded them to accept the things he said about the kingdom of God.
