One day Peter and John went to the temple {\cf2\super [50]} area. It was three o’clock in the afternoon. This was the time for the daily temple prayer service.


But during the night, an angel of the Lord opened the doors of the jail. The angel led the apostles outside and said,


All the angels are spirits who serve God and are sent to help those people who will receive salvation.


God gave him a name that is a much greater name than any of the angels have. And he became that much greater than the angels.


Last night an angel came to me from God. This is the God I worship. I am his.


Cornelius told us about the angel he saw standing in his house. The angel said to Cornelius, ‘Send some men to Joppa. Invite Simon Peter to come.


Cornelius said, “Four days ago, I was praying in my house. It was at this same time—three o’clock in the afternoon. Suddenly, there was a man (angel) standing before me. He was wearing bright, shiny clothes.


Peter was still thinking about the vision. {\cf2\super [206]} But the Spirit {\cf2\super [207]} said to him, “Listen! Three men are looking for you.


Peter wondered what this vision {\cf2\super [205]} meant.


There was a follower \{of Jesus\} in Damascus. His name was Ananias. The Lord (Jesus) spoke to Ananias in a vision. {\cf2\super [186]} The Lord said, “Ananias!”


Saul fell to the ground. He heard a voice saying to him: “Saul, Saul! Why are you doing these bad things to me?”


Then a very large group of angels from heaven joined the first angel. All the angels were praising God, saying:


Then, on the right side of the incense table, an angel of the Lord (God) came and stood before Zechariah.


At about three o’clock Jesus cried with a loud voice, “Eli, Eli, lema sabachthani?” This means, “My God, my God, why have you left me alone?” {\cf2\super [431]}


I do these things for my servant, Jacob.\par I do these things for my chosen people, Israel.\par \{Cyrus,\} I am calling you by name.\par You don’t know me,\par but I am calling you by name.\par


Then the Lord said to Moses, “I will do what you ask. I will do this because I am pleased with you and because I know you very well.” [335]


I speak to God evening, morning, and noon.\par I tell him what upsets me,\par and he listens to me!\par


The next day these men came near Joppa. At that time, Peter was going up to the roof to pray. It was about noon.
