40 Then they poured some of the soup for the men to eat. But when they began to eat the soup, they shouted out {to Elisha}, “Man of God [34] ! There’s poison in the pot!” {The food tasted like poison} so they could not eat that food.

Ahaziah sent another captain with 50 men to Elijah. The captain said to Elijah, “Man of God, [5] the king says, ‘Come down quickly!’”


And the woman said to Elijah, “You are a man of God. [194] Can you help me? Or did you come here only to cause me to remember all of my sins? Did you come here only to cause my son to die?”


This is the blessing that Moses, the man of God, gave the people of Israel before he died.


{Ahaziah} sent a captain and 50 men to Elijah. The captain went to Elijah. At that time, Elijah was sitting on top of a hill. The captain said to Elijah, “Man of God, [3] the king says, ‘Come down.’”
