2 Corinthians 7:12 - Easy To Read Version

12 I wrote that letter, but not because of the one who did the wrong. And it was not written because of the person who was hurt. But I wrote that letter so that you could see, before God, the great care that you have for us.

This is why I wrote to you. I wanted to test you and see if you obey in everything.


(If a man does not know how to be a leader over his own family, then he will not be able to take care of God’s church.)


And there are many other problems. One of these is the care I have for all the churches. I worry about them every day.


And why \{do I not burden you\}? Do you think it is because I don’t love you? No. God knows that I love you.


Even if the letter I wrote you made you sad, I am not sorry I wrote it. I know that letter made you sad, and I was sorry for that. But it made you sad only for a short time.


We don’t sell the word of God for a profit like many other people do. No! But in Christ we speak in truth before God. We speak like men sent from God.
