2 Chronicles 4:4 - Easy To Read Version

4 The large bronze tank was on top of twelve large statues of bulls. Three bulls looked toward the north. Three bulls looked toward the west. Three bulls looked toward the south. Three bulls looked toward the east. The large bronze tank was on top of these bulls. All the bulls stood with their rear ends to each other and to the center.

The walls of the city were built on twelve foundation stones. {\cf2\super [162]} On the stones were written the names of the twelve apostles {\cf2\super [163]} of the Lamb.


You believers are like a building that God owns. That building was built on the foundation that the apostles {\cf2\super [15]} and prophets {\cf2\super [16]} prepared. Christ himself is the most important stone {\cf2\super [17]} in that building.


But the Lord (Jesus) said to Ananias, “Go! I have chosen Saul for an important work. He must tell about me to kings, to the Jewish people, and to other nations.

The tank rested on the backs of 12 bronze bulls. All 12 of these bulls were looking out, away from the tank. Three were looking north, three east, three south, and three west.


There were images of bulls under the lip of of the large bronze tank. {\cf2\super [57]} They were in two rows that went 10 cubits around the tank. The bulls were molded in place when the tank was shaped.


The large bronze tank was 3 inches {\cf2\super [58]} thick. The edge of the large tank was like the edge of a cup. The edge looked like a lily blossom. It could hold about 17,500 gallons. {\cf2\super [59]}
