2 Chronicles 32:9 - Easy To Read Version

9 Sennacherib king of Assyria and all his army were camped near the town of Lachish so they could defeat it. Then Sennacherib sent his officers to Hezekiah king of Judah and to all the people of Judah in Jerusalem. Sennacherib’s officers had a message for Hezekiah and all the people in Jerusalem.

The king of Assyria sent his three most important commanders with a large army to King Hezekiah in Jerusalem. Those men left Lachish and went to Jerusalem. They stood near the aqueduct [225] by the Upper Pool. (The Upper Pool is on the road to the Washers’ Field.)


Then Joshua and all the people of Israel left Libnah and went to Lachish. Joshua and his army camped around that city and attacked it.
