16 When the Levites left Israel, those people in all the family groups of Israel who were faithful to the Lord God of Israel came to Jerusalem to sacrifice to the Lord God of their fathers.
16 And after them out of all the tribes of Israel such as set their hearts to seek the LORD God of Israel came to Jerusalem, to sacrifice unto the LORD God of their fathers.

16 People from every tribe of Israel who had made up their minds to seek the LORD, Israel’s God, came to Jerusalem to sacrifice to the LORD, the God of their ancestors.
16 Moreover, out of all the tribes of Israel, whosoever would give their heart so that they sought the Lord God of Israel, they went to Jerusalem to immolate their victims before the Lord, the God of their fathers.
Then Asa gathered all the people from Judah and Benjamin. He also gathered the people from the family groups of Ephraim, Manasseh, and Simeon who had moved from the country of Israel to live in the country of Judah. A great many of those people came to Judah because they saw that the Lord, Asa’s God, was with Asa.
Don’t trust the power to take things by force.\par Don’t think you will gain anything by stealing.\par And if you become rich,\par don’t trust your riches to help you.\par
When the Box of the Agreement {\cf2\super [180]} arrived at the City of David, {\cf2\super [181]} Michal looked through a window. Michal was Saul’s daughter. She saw King David dancing and playing around. And she lost her respect for David—\{she thought he was being foolish\}.
“If your land is not a good enough place to worship, then come over into our land. The Lord’s Tent is in our land. You can have some of our land and live there. But don’t turn against the Lord. Don’t build another altar. We already have the altar of the Lord our God at the Meeting Tent.
he said to them, “You must be sure to pay attention to all the commands I tell you today. And you must tell your children to completely obey the commands in this Law.
Then the Lord will choose a place to be his special house. The Lord will put his name there. And you must bring all the things I command you to that place. Bring your burnt offerings, your sacrifices, one tenth of your crops and animals, [75] your special gifts, any gifts you promised to the Lord, and the first animals born in your herd and flock.
Now give your heart and soul to the Lord your God, and do the things he says. Build the holy place of the Lord God. Build the temple {\cf2\super [243]} for the Lord’s name. Then bring the Box of the Agreement {\cf2\super [244]} and all the other holy things into the temple.”
Those people made the kingdom of Judah strong. And they supported Solomon’s son Rehoboam for three years. They did this because during that time they lived the way David and Solomon had lived.
Then they made an agreement to serve the Lord God with all their heart and with all their soul. He is the God their ancestors {\cf2\super [188]} served.
All the people of Judah were happy about the oath, because they had promised with all their heart. They followed God with all their heart. They looked for God and found him. So the Lord gave them peace in all the country.
But there are some good things in your life. You removed the Asherah poles {\cf2\super [218]} from this country, and you decided in your heart to follow God.”
People from different cities\par will greet each other.\par Some of them will say,\par ‘We are going to worship\par the Lord All-Powerful.’\par \{And the other person will say,\}\par ‘I would like to go with you!’”\par
