15 Huram [67] made two bronze [68] columns. Each column was 18 cubits [69] tall and 12 cubits [70] around. The columns were hollow and the metal was 3 inches [71] thick.

Each of the bronze pillars was 27 feet {\cf2\super [439]} high. Each pillar was 18 feet {\cf2\super [440]} around. Each pillar was hollow. The walls of each pillar was 4 inches {\cf2\super [441]} thick.


Huram put these two bronze columns at the porch of the temple. One column was put on the south side and one was put on the north side {of the entrance}. The column on the south was named Jakin. The column on the north was named Boaz.


Nebuzaradan burned the Lord’s temple. He also burned down the king’s house and all the houses of Jerusalem. He burned down every important building in Jerusalem.


Huram also made two bronze capitals [72] that were 5 cubits [73] tall. Huram put these capitals on top of the columns.


The Babylonian soldiers broke to pieces all the bronze things in the Lord’s temple. They broke the bronze columns, the bronze carts, and the large bronze tank. Then they took all of that bronze to Babylon.


The Lord All-Powerful says this about those things that are still left in Jerusalem. In the temple, {\cf2\super [216]} there are the pillars, the bronze sea, the moveable stands, and other things. {\cf2\super [217]} Nebuchadnezzar king of Babylon, left those things in Jerusalem.


The Babylonian army broke up the bronze columns of the temple. They also broke up the stands and the Bronze Tank {\cf2\super [438]} that were in the Lord’s temple. They carried all that bronze away to Babylon.


The porch was 20 cubits {\cf2\super [357]} wide and 12 cubits {\cf2\super [358]} long. {\cf2\super [359]} Ten steps went up to the porch. There were two columns for the walls on either side of the porch—one at each wall.


David also took much bronze from the towns of Tebah and Cun. Those towns belonged to Hadadezer. Later, Solomon used this bronze to make the bronze tank, the bronze columns, and other things made from bronze for the temple. {\cf2\super [201]}
