1 Kings 3:13 - Easy To Read Version

13 Also, to reward you, I will give you those things that you did not ask for. All your life, you will have riches and honor. There will be no other king in the world as great as you.

With God’s power working in us, God can do much, much more than anything we can ask or think of.


The thing you should want most is God’s kingdom and doing the good things God wants you to do. Then all these other things you need will be given to you.


Wisdom gives you long life, riches, and honor.


He even let his own Son suffer for us. God gave his Son for us all. So with Jesus now, God will surely give us all things.


The Lord made Solomon very great. All the people of Israel knew that the Lord was making Solomon great. The Lord gave Solomon the honor that a king should have. No king in Israel before Solomon had such honor.


King Solomon became greater in riches and wisdom than any other king on earth.


You know that marriages like this caused Solomon to sin. In all the many nations, there was not a king as great as Solomon. God loved Solomon. And God made Solomon king over the whole nation of Israel. But even Solomon was made to sin because of foreign women.


God gives a person great wealth, riches, and honor. That person has everything he needs and everything he could ever want. But then God does not let that person enjoy those things. Some stranger comes and takes everything. This is a very bad and senseless thing.


Every year King Solomon got about 79,920 pounds [133] of gold.


She (Wisdom) is the greatest thing that can happen to you.
