Jeroboam was in Egypt because he ran away from King Solomon. Jeroboam was Nebat’s son. Jeroboam heard that Rehoboam was going to be the new king. So Jeroboam came back from Egypt.


But Saul threw his spear at Jonathan and tried to kill him. So Jonathan knew that his father wanted very much to kill David.
