1 Kings 10:12 - Easy To Read Version

12 Solomon used the wood to build supports in the temple and the palace. He also used the wood to make harps [131] and lyres [132] for the singers. No other person has ever brought that kind of wood {to Israel} and no person has seen that kind of wood since that time.

David and all the Israelites were dancing in front of the Lord and playing all kinds of musical instruments. There were lyres, [36] harps, drums, rattles, instruments made from cypress wood, and cymbals. [37]

Then King Solomon gave the queen of Sheba gifts that a king usually gives to a ruler from another country. Then he gave her anything else she asked for. After this, the queen and her servants went back to her own country.


King Solomon used the algum wood to make steps for the Lord’s temple, {\cf2\super [151]} and for the king’s house. Solomon also used the algum wood to make lyres {\cf2\super [152]} and harps for the singers. No person ever saw such beautiful things like those things made from the algum wood in the country of Judah.
