1 Corinthians 11:21 - Easy To Read Version

21 Why? Because when you eat, each person eats without waiting for the others. Some people don’t get enough to eat \{or drink\}, while other people \{have so much that they\} become drunk.

These false teachers have made many people suffer. So they themselves will suffer. That is their pay for what they have done. These false teachers think it is fun to do evil things openly \{where all people can see\}. They enjoy the evil things that please them. So they are like dirty spots and stains among you—\{they bring shame to you\} in the meals that you eat together.


He said to the bridegroom, “People always serve the best wine first. Later, after the guests have become drunk, people serve the cheaper wine. But you have saved the best wine until now.”


When you all come together, you are not really eating the Lord’s Supper. {\cf2\super [80]}


If a person is \{too\} hungry to wait, then he should eat at home. Do this so that your meeting together will not bring God’s judgment on you. I will tell you what to do about the other things when I come.
