6 In that day it shall be said to Jerusalem: Fear not: to Sion: Let not thy hands be weakened.


7 The king shall mourn, and the prince shall be clothed with sorrow, and the hands of the people of the land shall be troubled. I will do to them according to their way, and will judge them according to their judgments: and they shall know that I am the Lord.


1 By the blessing of the just the city shall be exalted: and by the mouth of the wicked it shall be overthrown.


And the disciples hearing, fell upon their face, and were very much afraid.


He said: I will destroy man, whom I have created, from the face of the earth, from man even to beasts, from the creeping thing even to the fowls of the air, for it repenteth me that I have made them.


Woe to you that inhabit the sea coast, O nation of reprobates: the word of the Lord upon you, O Chanaan, the land of the Philistines, and I will destroy thee, so that there shall not be an inhabitant.


Assemble yourselves together, be gathered together, O nation not worthy to be loved:

2 And render to our neighbours sevenfold in their bosom: the reproach wherewith they have reproached thee, O Lord.


Then Eliphaz the Themanite answered, and said:


1 Therefore, whether you eat or drink, or whatsoever else you do, do all to the glory of God.


How do you say: We are wise, and the law of the Lord is with us? Indeed the lying pen of the scribes hath wrought falsehood.


3 For the seller shall not return to that which he hath sold, although their life be yet among the living. For the vision which regardeth all the multitude thereof, shall not go back: neither shall man be strengthened in the iniquity of his life.


9 Their silver shall be cast forth, and their gold shall become a dunghill. Their silver and their gold shall not be able to deliver them in the day of the wrath of the Lord. They shall not satisfy their soul, and their bellies shall not be filled: because it hath been the stumblingblock of their iniquity.


3 Thou shalt be filled with drunkenness, and sorrow: with the cup of grief, and sadness, with the cup of thy sister Samaria.


0 This shall befall them for their pride: because they have blasphemed, and have been magnified against the people of the Lord of hosts.


0 Why is light given to him that is in misery, and life to them that are in bitterness of soul?


1 Shall I not, as I have done to Samaria and her idols, so do to Jerusalem and her idols?


5 For yet a little and a very little while, and my indignation shall cease, and my wrath shall be upon their wickedness.
