And it shall come to pass, that when any man shall prophesy any more, his father and his mother that brought him into the world, shall say to him: Thou shalt not live: because thou best spoken a lie in the name of the Lord. And his father, and his mother, his parents, shall thrust him through, when he shall prophesy.


1 And people shall dwell in it, and there shall be no more an anathema: but Jerusalem shall sit secure.


The praise of a canticle for David. He that dwelleth in the aid of the most High, shall abide under the protection of the God of Jacob.


0 He was two and thirty years old when he began his reign, and he reigned eight years in Jerusalem. And he walked not rightly, and they buried him in the city of David: but not in the sepulchres of the kings.


4 The Lord shall scatter thee among all people, from the farthest parts of the earth to the ends thereof: and there thou shalt serve strange gods, which both thou art ignorant of and thy fathers, wood and stone.


7 The Lord strike thee with the ulcer of Egypt, and the part of thy body, by which the dung is cast out, with the scab and with the itch : so that thou canst not be healed.


3 And I will scatter you among the Gentiles, and I will draw out the sword after you, and your land shall be desert, and your cities destroyed.


9 So that you shall eat the flesh of your sons and of your daughters.


6 After I shall have broken the staff of your bread: so that ten women shall bake your bread in one oven, and give it out by weight: and you shall eat, and shall not be filled.


1 If you walk contrary to me, and will not hearken to me, I will bring seven times more plagues upon you for your sins:


As much as she hath glorified herself, and lived in delicacies, so much torment and sorrow give ye to her; because she saith in her heart: I sit a queen, and am no widow; and sorrow I shall not see.


And when they had gone through the whole island, as far as Paphos, they found a certain man, a magician, a false prophet, a Jew, whose name was Bar-jesu:


3 And if even so you will not amend, but will walk contrary to me:


6 And be thy carcass meat for all the Fowls of the air, and the beasts of the earth, and be there none to drive them away.


8 He shall drive him out of light into darkness, and shall remove him out of the world.


I have loved you, saith the Lord: and you have said: Wherein hast thou loved us? Was not Esau brother to Jacob, saith the Lord, and I have loved Jacob,


And your eyes shall see, and you shall say: The Lord be magnified upon the border of Israel.


And I said: Whither goest thou? and he said to me: To measure Jerusalem, and to see how great is the breadth thereof, and how great the length thereof.


2 And the Lord shall possess Juda his portion in the sanctified land: and he shall yet choose Jerusalem.
