To the prophets: My heart is broken within me, all my bones tremble: I am become as a drunken man, and as a man full of wine, at the presence of the Lord, and at the presence of his holy words.


1 Say to them that daub without tempering, that it shall fall: for there shall be an overflowing shower, and I will cause great hailstones to fall violently from above, and a stormy wind to throw it down.


3 Wherefore, if meat scandalize my brother, I will never eat flesh, lest I should scandalize my brother.


0 Thus saith the Lord God: Behold I myself come upon the shepherds, I will require my hock at their hand, and I will cause them to cease from feeding the flock any more, neither shall the shepherds feed themselves any more: and I will deliver my flock from their mouth, and it shall no more be meat for them.


4 Blind guides, who strain out a gnat, and swallow a camel.


0 And I will bring an everlasting reproach upon you, and a perpetual shame which shall never be forgotten.


5 For if the loss of them be the reconciliation of the world, what shall the receiving of them be, but life from the dead?


8 He that despiseth me, and receiveth not my words, hath one that judgeth him; the word that I have spoken, the same shall judge him in the last day.


This proverb Jesus spoke to them. But they understood not what he spoke to them.


1 And whosoever shall swear by temple, sweareth by it, and by him that dwelleth in it:


And they shall answer: Because they have forsaken the covenant of the Lord their God, and have adored strange gods, and served them.


8 They have not known, nor understood: for their eyes are covered that they may not see, and that they may not understand with their heart.


8 And in that day the deaf shall hear the words of the book, and out of darkness and obscurity the eyes of the blind shall see.


To oppress the poor in judgment, and do violence to the cause of the humble of my people: that widows might be their prey, and that they might rob the fatherless.


For so it was enjoined me by the word of the Lord commanding me: Thou shalt not eat bread nor drink water, nor return by the same way that thou camest.


6 And it shall come to pass, that whosoever shall remain in thy house, shall come that he may be prayed for, and shall offer a piece of silver, and a roll of bread, and shall say: Put me, I beseech thee, to somewhat of the priestly office, that I may eat a morsel of bread.


0 And I will bring them back out of the land of Egypt, and will gather them from among the Assyrians: and will bring them to the land of Galaad, and Libanus, and place shall not be found for them.


In that day I will make the governors of Juda like a furnace of fire amongst wood, and as a firebrand amongst hay: and they shall devour all the people round about, to the right hand, and to the left: and Jerusalem shall be inhabited again in her own place in Jerusalem.
