Wherefore though I have much confidence in Christ Jesus, to command thee that which is to the purpose:


It is a faithful saying: and these things I will have thee affirm constantly: that they, who believe in God, may be careful to excel in good works. These things are good and profitable unto men.


That the aged men be sober, chaste, prudent, sound in faith, in love, in patience.


0 A man that is a heretic, after the first and second admonition, avoid:


Be you also as living stones built up, a spiritual house, a holy priesthood, to offer up spiritual sacrifices, acceptable to God by Jesus Christ.


Who will have all men to be saved, and to come to the knowledge of the truth.


3 For not through the law was the promise to Abraham, or to his seed, that he should be heir of the world; but through the justice of faith.


And when supper was done, (the devil having now put into the heart of Judas Iscariot, the son of Simon, to betray him,)


2 There is another that beareth witness of me; and I know that the witness which he witnesseth of me is true.


Thou hast not given water to the weary, thou hast withdrawn bread from the hungry.


0 Yea, brother. May I enjoy thee in the Lord. Refresh my bowels in the Lord.


9 So they did eat, and were filled exceedingly, and he gave them their desire:


The fruit of humility is the fear of the Lord, riches and glory and life.


For we also, who are in this tabernacle, do groan, being burthened; because we would not be unclothed, but clothed upon, that that which is mortal may be swallowed up by life.


3 And forthwith an angel of the Lord struck him, because he had not given the honour to God: and being eaten up by worms, he gave up the ghost.


For know you this and understand, that no fornicator, or unclean, or covetous person (which is a serving of idols), hath inheritance in the kingdom of Christ and of God.


It behoveth therefore a bishop to be blameless, the husband of one wife, sober, prudent, of good behaviour, chaste, given to hospitality, a teacher,


9 Against a priest receive not an accusation, but under two or three witnesses.


Labour as a good soldier of Christ Jesus.


Admonish them to be subject to princes and powers, to obey at a word, to be ready to every good work.


3 And on the one hand indeed, by reproaches and tribulations, were made a gazingstock; and on the other, became companions of them that were used in such sort.


2 Saying: These last have worked but one hour, and thou hast made them equal to us, that have borne the burden of the day and the heats.
