For I will not see you now by the way, for I trust that I shall abide with you some time, if the Lord permit.


3 Wonder not, brethren, if the world hate you.


1 Wherefore Juda said to Thamar his daughter in law: Remain a widow in thy father's house, till Sela my son grow up: for he was afraid lest he also might die, as his brethren did. She went her way and dwelt in her father's house.


Juda, therefore add to Onan his son: Go in to thy brother's wife and marry her, that thou mayst raise seed to thy brother.


2 Come, let us make him drunk with wine, and let us lie with him, that we may preserve seed of our father.


But before they went to bed, the men of the city beset the house both young and old, all the people together.


0 And the Lord said: The cry of Sodom and Gomorrha is multiplied, and their sin is become exceedingly grievous.


3 And the men of Sodom were very wicked, and sinners before the face of the Lord, beyond measure.


1 And the Lord smelled a sweet savour, and said: I will no more curse the earth for the sake of man: for the imagination and thought of man's heart are prone to evil from his youth: therefore I will no more destroy every living soul as I have done.


1 And the earth was corrupted before God, and was filled with iniquity.


3 And this is his commandment, that we should believe in the name of his Son Jesus Christ: and love one another, as he hath given commandment unto us.


6 the two daughters of Lot were with child by their father.


8 For we account a man to be justified by faith, without the works of the law.
