Now I am glad: not because you were made sorrowful; but because you were made sorrowful unto penance. For you were made sorrowful according to God, that you might suffer damage by us in nothing.


Now these things being thus ordered, into the first tabernacle the priests indeed always entered, accomplishing the offices of sacrifices.


2 And it had a wall great and high, having twelve gates, and in the gates twelve angels, and names written thereon, which are the names of the twelve tribes of the children of Israel.


0 But I have against thee a few things: because thou sufferest the woman Jezabel, who calleth herself a prophetess, to teach, and to seduce my servants, to commit fornication, and to eat of things sacrificed to idols.


2 For I was hungry, and you gave me not to eat: I was thirsty, and you gave me not to drink.


6 And he that shall overcome, and keep my works unto the end, I will give him power over the nations.


They say to him: Because no man hath hired us. He saith to them: Go you also into my vineyard.


6 In like manner do penance: if not, I will come to thee quickly, and will fight against them with the sword of my mouth.


6 These then are the things, which you shall do: Speak ye truth every one to his neighbour: judge ye truth and judgment of peace in your gates.


The beginning of wisdom, get wisdom, and with all thy possession purchase prudence.


3 Nor the office of the priests to the people: but whosoever had offered a sacrifice, the servant of the priest came, while the flesh was in boiling, with a fleshhook of three teeth in his hand,


8 Because Christ also died once for our sins, the just for the unjust: that he might offer us to God, being put to death indeed in the flesh, but enlivened in the spirit,


He that shall overcome, shall thus be clothed in white garments, and I will not blot out his name out of the book of life, and I will confess his name before my Father, and before his angels.


5 It is easier for a camel to pass through the eye of a needle, than for a rich man to enter into the kingdom of God.


7 For behold I create new heavens, and a new earth: and the former things shall not be in remembrance, and they shell not come upon the heart.


And I will give to thee, and to thy seed, the land of thy sojournment, all the land of Chanaan for a perpetual possession, and I will be their God.


9 But yet this hath seemed little in thy sight, O Lord God, unless thou didst also speak of the house of thy servant for a long time to come: for this is the law of Adam, O Lord God.


3 But my mercy I will not take away from him: nor will I suffer my truth to fail.


9 For to every one that hath shall be given, and he shall abound: but from him that hath not, that also which he seemeth to have shall be taken away.


2 For we know that every creature groaneth and travaileth in pain, even till now.


7 And he that searcheth the hearts, knoweth what the Spirit desireth; because he asketh for the saints according to God.


And not by his coming only, but also by the consolation, wherewith he was comforted in you, relating to us your desire, your mourning, your zeal for me, so that I rejoiced the more.
