2 And his eyes were as a flame of fire, and on his head were many diadems, and he had a name written, which no man knoweth but himself.


THE land that was desolate and impassable shall be glad, and the wilderness shall rejoice, and shall flourish like the lily.


And God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes: and death shall be no more, nor mourning, nor crying, nor sorrow shall be any more, for the former things are passed away.


And the disciples seeing it, had indignation, saying: To what purpose is this waste?


Then were gathered together the chief priests and ancients of the people into the court of the high priest, who was called Caiphas:


And again they said: Alleluia. And her smoke ascendeth for ever and ever.


8 And another angel came out from the altar, who had power over fire; and he cried with a loud voice to him that had the sharp sickle, saying: Thrust in thy sharp sickle, and gather the clusters of the vineyard of the earth; because the grapes thereof are ripe.


2 For the Lord is our judge, the Lord is our lawgiver, the Lord is our king: he will save us.


8 He looked towards Sodom and Gomorrha, and the whole land of that country: and he saw the ashes rise up from the earth as the smoke of a furnace.


And she brought forth a man child, who was to rule all nations with an iron rod: and her son was taken up to God, and to his throne.


And the smoke of the incense of the prayers of the saints ascended up before God from the hand of the angel.


How shall we escape if we neglect so great salvation? which having begun to be declared by the Lord, was confirmed unto us by them that heard him.


The Lord is gracious and merciful: patient and plenteous in mercy.


The Lord trieth the just and the wicked: but he that loveth iniquity hateth his own soul.

But I tell you that there is here a greater than the temple.


And the children of Juda, and the children of Jerusalem you have sold to the children of the Greeks, that you might remove them far off from their own country.


Deal thy bread to the hungry, and bring the needy and the harbourless into thy house: when thou shalt see one naked, cover him, and despise not thy own flesh.


And Moses called all Israel, and said to them: You have seen all the things that the Lord did before you in the land of Egypt to Pharao, and to all his servants, and to his whole land.


6 Search ye diligently in the book of the Lord, and read: not one of them was wanting, one hath not sought for the other: for that which proceedeth out of my mouth, he hath commanded, and his spirit it hath gathered them.


4 And Nabuchodonosor the king spoke to them, and said: Is it true, O Sidrach, Misach, and Abdenago, that you do not worship my gods, nor adore the golden statue that I have set up?


And I saw another angel flying through the midst of heaven, having the eternal gospel, to preach unto them that sit upon the earth, and over every nation, and tribe, and tongue, and people:


And another angel followed, saying: That great Babylon is fallen, is fallen; which made all nations to drink of the wine of the wrath of her fornication.


8 And cried, seeing the place of her burning, saying: What city is like to this great city?
