And they came upon the breadth of the earth, and encompassed the camp of the saints, and the beloved city.


And he stood upon the sand of the sea. And I saw a beast coming up out of the sea, having seven heads and ten horns, and upon his horns ten diadems, and upon his heads names of blasphemy.


7 And that no man might buy or sell, but he that hath the character, or the name of the beast, or the number of his name.


And God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes: and death shall be no more, nor mourning, nor crying, nor sorrow shall be any more, for the former things are passed away.


And it is granted to her that she should clothe herself with fine linen, glittering and white. For the fine linen are the justifications of saints.


1 And they blasphemed the God of heaven, because of their pains and wounds, and did not penance for their works.


And the second angel poured out his vial upon the sea, and there came blood as it were of a dead man; and every living soul died in the sea.


0 And the press was trodden without the city, and blood came out of the press, up to the horses' bridles, for a thousand and six hundred furlongs.


8 And another angel came out from the altar, who had power over fire; and he cried with a loud voice to him that had the sharp sickle, saying: Thrust in thy sharp sickle, and gather the clusters of the vineyard of the earth; because the grapes thereof are ripe.


And I saw another angel flying through the midst of heaven, having the eternal gospel, to preach unto them that sit upon the earth, and over every nation, and tribe, and tongue, and people:


3 But we ought to give thanks to God always for you, brethren, beloved of God, for that God hath chosen you firstfruits unto salvation, in sanctification of the spirit, and faith of the truth:


4 And tidings out of the east, and out of the north shall trouble him: and he shall come with a great multitude to destroy and slay many.


5 At every head of the way thou hast set up a sign of thy prostitution: and hast made thy beauty to be abominable: and hast prostituted thyself to every one that passed by, and hast multiplied thy fornications.


7 Or if I bring the sword upon that land, and say to the sword: Pass through the land: and I destroy man and beast out of it:


8 Who say to Cyrus: Thou art my shepherd, and thou shalt perform all my pleasure. Who say to Jerusalem: Thou shalt be built: and to the temple: Thy foundations shall be laid.


1 He poureth contempt upon princes, and relieveth them that were oppressed.


And he destroyed the soothsayers, whom the kings of Juda had appointed to sacrifice in the high places in the cities of Juda, and round about Jerusalem: them also that burnt incense to Baal, and to the sun, and to the moon, and to the twelve signs, and to all the host of heaven.


2 At that time Berodach Baladan, the son of Baladan, king of the Babylonians, sent letters and presents to Ezechias: for he had heard that Ezechias had been sick.


8 Therefore I also will deal with them in my wrath: my eye shall not spare them, neither will I shew mercy: and when they shall cry to my ears with a loud voice, I will not hear them.


3 And Pharao's heart was hardened, and he did not hearken to them, as the Lord had commanded.


9 I know thy works, and thy faith, and thy charity, and thy ministry, and thy patience, and thy last works which are more than the former.


9 Such as I love, I rebuke and chastise. Be zealous therefore, and do penance.


0 He that shall lead into captivity, shall go into captivity: he that shall kill by the sword, must be killed by the sword. Here is the patience and the faith of the saints.


And there came one of the seven angels, who had the seven vials, and spoke with me, saying: Come, I will shew thee the condemnation of the great harlot, who sitteth upon many waters,


6 And say: Thus saith the king: Put this fellow in prison, and give him bread and water in a small quantity till I return in peace.
