6 But he said to him: What is written in the law? how readest thou?


9 Therefore they could not believe, because Isaias said again:


And God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes: and death shall be no more, nor mourning, nor crying, nor sorrow shall be any more, for the former things are passed away.


For many seducers are gone out into the world, who confess not that Jesus Christ is come in the flesh: this is a seducer and an antichrist.


3 But having the same spirit of faith, as it is written: I believed, for which cause I have spoken; we also believe, for which cause we speak also:


0 Thou shalt not keep company with them, even in burial: for thou hast destroyed thy land, thou hast slain thy people: the seed of the wicked shall not be named for ever.


Now the serpent was more subtle than any of the beasts of the earth which the Lord God made. And he said to the woman: Why hath God commanded you, that you should not eat of every tree of paradise?


6 And the earth helped the woman, and the earth opened her mouth, and swallowed up the river, which the dragon cast out of his mouth.


2 The Jews therefore said: Now we know that thou hast a devil. Abraham is dead, and the prophets; and thou sayest: If any man keep my word, he shall not taste death for ever.


Who hath ever heard such a thing? and who hath seen the like to this? shall the earth bring forth in one day? or shall a nation be brought forth at once, because Sion hath been in labour, and hath brought forth her children?


And I John saw the holy city, the new Jerusalem, coming down out of heaven from God, prepared as a bride adorned for her husband.


2 Therefore rejoice, O heavens, and you that dwell therein. Woe to the earth, and to the sea, because the devil is come down unto you, having great wrath, knowing that he hath but a short time.

But thou hast a few names in Sardis, which have not defiled their garments: and they shall walk with me in white, because they are worthy.

Being manifested, that you are the epistle of Christ, ministered by us, and written not with ink, but with the Spirit of the living God; not in tables of stone, but in the fleshly tables of the heart.


7 To God the only wise, through Jesus Christ, to whom be honour and glory for ever and ever. Amen.


6 For the king knoweth of these things, to whom also I speak with confidence. For I am persuaded that none of these things are hidden from him. For neither was any of these things done in a corner.


9 And going out, he went, according to his custom, to the mount of Olives. And his disciples also followed him.


2 But what I do, that I will do, that I may cut off the occasion from them that desire occasion, that wherein they glory, they may be found even as we.


1 And you shall say to the goodman of the house: The master saith to thee, Where is the guest chamber, where I may eat the pasch with my disciples?


0 And it was told him: Thy mother and thy brethren stand without, desiring to see thee.


Then were gathered together the chief priests and ancients of the people into the court of the high priest, who was called Caiphas:


8 And Jesus walking by the sea of Galilee, saw two brethren, Simon who is called Peter, and Andrew his brother, casting a net into the sea (for they were fishers).


6 The people that sat in darkness, hath seen great light: and to them that sat in the region of the shadow of death, light is sprung up.


3 And leaving the city Nazareth, he came and dwelt in Capharnaum on the sea coast, in the borders of Zabulon and Nephthalim;


And said to him: All these will I give thee, if falling down thou wilt adore me.


Therefore upon this shall the iniquity of the house of Jacob be forgiven: and this is all the fruit, that the sin thereof should be taken away, when he shall have made all the stones of the altar, as burnt stones broken in pieces, the groves and temples shall not stand.


3 And the Lord God said to the woman: Why hast thou done this? And she answered: The serpent deceived me, and I did eat.


And they came upon the breadth of the earth, and encompassed the camp of the saints, and the beloved city.


With whom the kings of the earth have committed fornication; and they who inhabit the earth, have been made drunk with the whine of her whoredom.


And in their mouth there was found no lie; for they are without spot before the throne of God.


And I heard a voice from heaven again speaking to me, and saying: Go, and take the book that is open, from the hand of the angel who standeth upon the sea, and upon the earth.


8 I counsel thee to buy of me gold fire tried, that thou mayest be made rich; and mayest be clothed in white garments, and that the shame of thy nakedness may not appear; and anoint thy eyes with eyesalve, that thou mayest see.


8 And to the angel of the church of Thyatira write: These things saith the Son of God, who hath his eyes like to a flame of fire, and his feet like to fine brass.


8 Who told you, that in the last time there should come mockers, walking according to their own desires in ungodlinesses.


And Moses indeed was faithful in all his house as a servant, for a testimony of those things which were to be said:


But be thou vigilant, labour in all things, do the work of an evangelist, fulfil thy ministry. Be sober.


Deacons in like manner chaste, not double tongued, not given to much wine, not greedy of filthy lucre:


2 That all may be judged who have not believed the truth, but have consented to iniquity.


3 And be renewed in the spirit of your mind:


6 But be it so: I did not burthen you: but being crafty, I caught you by guile.


To the church of God that is at Corinth, to them that are sanctified in Christ Jesus, called to be saints, with all that invoke the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, in every place of theirs and ours.


1 And there came great fear upon the whole church, and upon all that heard these things.


9 And Jesus knew that they had a mind to ask him; and he said to them: Of this do you inquire among yourselves, because I said: A little while, and you shall not see me; and again a little while, and you shall see me?


If you abide in me, and my words abide in you, you shall ask whatever you will, and it shall be done unto you.


4 Strive to enter by the narrow gate; for many, I say to you, shall seek to enter, and shall not be able.


2 And from the fig tree learn a parable: When the branch thereof is now tender, and the leaves come forth, you know that summer is nigh.


7 Again the kingdom of heaven is like to a net cast into the sea, and gathering together of all kind of fishes.


But Levi and Benjamin he did not number: for Joab unwillingly executed the king's orders.


1 And the merchants of the earth shall weep, and mourn over her: for no man shall buy their merchandise any more.


4 And the house of Israel shall have no more a stumblingblock of bitterness, nor a thorn causing pain on every side round about them, of them that are against them: and they shall know that I am the Lord God.


And it is granted to her that she should clothe herself with fine linen, glittering and white. For the fine linen are the justifications of saints.


3 May his posterity be cut off; in one generation may his name be blotted out.


7 And the dragon was angry against the woman: and went to make war with the rest of her seed, who keep the commandments of God, and have the testimony of Jesus Christ.


And they adored the dragon, which gave power to the beast: and they adored the beast, saying: Who is like to the beast? and who shall be able to fight with him?


6 And say: Thus saith the king: Put this fellow in prison, and give him bread and water in a small quantity till I return in peace.
