at the voice of the enemy, and at the tribulation of the sinner. For they have cast iniquities upon me: and in wrath they were troublesome to me.


They shall be inebriated with the plenty of thy house; and thou shalt make them drink of the torrent of thy pleasure.


In his sight the malignant is brought to nothing: but he glorifieth them that fear the Lord. He that sweareth to his neighbour, and deceiveth not;


And when he had commanded the man that was clothed with linen, saying: Take fire from the midst of the wheels that are between the cherubims: he went in and stood beside the wheel,


And behold six men came from the way of the upper gate, which looketh to the north: and each one had his weapon of destruction in his hand: and there was one man in the midst of them clothed with linen, with a writer's inkhorn at his reins: and they went in, and stood by the brazen altar.


2 I know that the Lord will do justice to the needy, and will revenge the poor.


2 Unless thy law had been my meditation, I had then perhaps perished in my abjection.


6 O! let thy mercy be for my comfort, according to thy word unto thy servant.


8 I entreated thy face with all my heart: have mercy on me according to thy word.


And he will bring forth thy justice as the light, and thy judgment as the noonday.


For, lo, the wicked have bent their bow; they have prepared their arrows in the quiver; to shoot in the dark the upright of heart.


8 To judge for the fatherless and for the humble, that man may no more presume to magnify himself upon earth.


1 For he hath said in his heart: God hath forgotten, he hath turned away his face not to see to the end.


9 And a woman took, and spread a covering over the mouth of the well, as it were to dry sodden barley: and so the thing was not known.


And coming upon him (for he is now weary, and weak handed) I will defeat him: and when all the people is put to flight that is with him, I will kill the king who will be left alone.


Fear and trembling are come upon me: and darkness hath covered me.
