6 I said: Where are they? I will make the memory of them to cease from among men.


5 In the enemy's land, she shall keep a sabbath, and rest in the sabbaths of her desolation, because she did not rest in your sabbaths when you dwelt therein.


1 Therefore, whether you eat or drink, or whatsoever else you do, do all to the glory of God.


And he gave a sign the same day, saying: This shall be the sign, that the Lord hath spoken: Behold the altar shall be rent, and the ashes that are upon it shall be poured out.


2 Nevertheless in thy days I will not do it, for David thy father's sake: but I will rend it out of the hand of thy son.


And you shall eat there in the sight of the Lord your God: and you shall rejoice in all things, whereunto you shall put your hand, you and your houses wherein the Lord your God hath blessed you.


0 Where is thy king? now especially let him save thee in all thy cities: and thy judges, of whom thou saidst: Q Give me kings and princes.


And a man shall mock his brother, and they will not speak the truth: for they have taught their tongue to speak lies: they have laboured to commit iniquity.


The Lord hath made known his salvation: he hath revealed his justice in the sight of the Gentiles.


2 And render to our neighbours sevenfold in their bosom: the reproach wherewith they have reproached thee, O Lord.


5 For when David was in Edom, and Joab the general of the army was gone up to bury them that were slain, and had killed every male in Edom,


1 And the Lord said to them: Did not the Egyptians and the Amorrhites, and the children of Ammon and the Philistines,


That afterwards their children might learn to fight with their enemies, and to be trained up to war:


2 That through them I may try Israel, whether they will keep the way of the Lord, and walk in it, as their fathers kept it, or not.


0 Cursed be he that lieth with his father's wife, and uncovereth his bed: and all the people shall say: Amen.


For until this present time you are not come to refit, and to the possession, which the Lord your God will give you.


And the Lord spoke to Moses, saying:


7 Thou shalt not make to thyself any molten gods.


4 Went out by a postern door. And the king's servants going in, saw the doors of the parlour shut, and they said: Perhaps he is easing nature in his summer parlour.


4 And they hearkened not, but hardened their necks like to the neck of their fathers, who would not obey the Lord their God.


2 Therefore thus saith the Lord the God of Israel: Behold I will bring on evils upon Jerusalem and Juda: that whosoever shall hear of them, both his ears shall tingle.


6 And the Lord stirred up against Joram the spirit of the Philistines, and of the Arabians, who border on the Ethiopians.
