Arise, and let us go up in the night, and destroy her houses.


The Lord is my firmament, my refuge, and my deliverer. My God is my helper, and in him will I put my trust. My protector and the horn of my salvation, and my support.


2 Before his days be full he shall perish: and his hands shall wither away.


9 How are they brought to desolation? they have suddenly ceased to be: they have perished by reason of their iniquity.


7 Before thy malice was laid open: as it is at this time, making thee a reproach of the daughters of Syria, and of all the daughters of Palestine round about thee, that encompass thee on all sides.


7 The Lord will make bald the crown of the head of the daughters of Sion, and the Lord will discover their hair.


7 Let thy tender mercies come unto me, and I shall live: for thy law is my meditation.

I heard that thy shepherds that were with us in the desert were shearing: we never molested them, neither was there ought missing to them of the flock at any time, all the while they were with us in Carmel.


Now when Mardochai had heard these things, he rent his garments, and put on sackcloth, strewing ashes on his head: and he cried with a loud voice in the street in the midst of the city, shewing the anguish of his mind.
