And behold a pale horse, and he that sat upon him, his name was Death, and hell followed him. And power was given to him over the four parts of the earth, to kill with sword, with famine, and with death, and with the beasts of the earth.


1 And thou shalt-say in thy heart: Who hath begotten these? I was barren and brought not forth, led away, and captive: and who hath brought up these? I was destitute and alone: and these, where were they?


0 Thou that seest many things, wilt thou not observe them? thou that hast ears open, wilt thou not hear?


9 And he turned the storm into a breeze: and its waves were still.


0 And thou shewedst signs and wonders upon Pharao, and upon all his servants, and upon the people of his land : for thou knewest that they dealt proudly against them: and thou madest thyself a name, as it is at this day.


2 And let them sacrifice the sacrifice of praise: and declare his works with joy.


And he rebuked the Red Sea, and it was dried up: and he led them through the depths, as in a wilderness.


Convert us, O God: and shew us thy face, and we shall be saved.


They are not in the labour of men: neither shall they be scourged like other men.


1 And I said: How long, O Lord? And he said: Until the cities be wasted without inhabitant, and the houses without man, and the land shall be left desolate.


O God, thou knowest my foolishness; and my offences are not hidden from thee:
