And going out, he followed him, and he knew not that it was true which was done by the angel: but thought he saw a vision.


1 All that pass by the way have robbed him: he is become a reproach to his neighbours.


1 God is a just judge, strong and patient: is he angry every day?


2 May there be none to help him: nor none to pity his fatherless offspring.


All these things I have considered, and applied my heart to all the works that are done under the sun. Sometimes one man ruleth over another to his own hurt.


5 Thou hast shortened the days of his time: thou hast covered him with confusion.


5 Once have I sworn by my holiness: I will not lie unto David:


7 And they took Absalom, and cast him into a great pit in the forest, and they laid an exceeding great heap of stories upon him: but all Israel fled to their own dwellings.


For David had offered that day a reward to whosoever should strike the Jebusites and get up to the gutters of the tops of the houses, and take away the blind and the lame that hated the soul of David: therefore it is said in the proverb: The blind and the lame shall not come into the temple.

5 Be the Lord judge, and judge between me and thee, and see, and judge my cause, and deliver me out of thy hand.


2 And David said to Abiathar: I knew that day when Doeg the Edomite was there, that without doubt he would tell Saul: I have been the occasion of the death of all the souls of thy father's house.


9 But fear the Lord your God, and he shall deliver you out of the hand of all your enemies.


and a congregation of people shall surround thee. And for their sakes return thou on high.


Shall they utter, and speak iniquity: shall all speak who work injustice?


1 For the house of Israel, and the house of Juda have greatly transgressed against me, saith the Lord.
