1 For he hath said in his heart: God hath forgotten, he hath turned away his face not to see to the end.


Or despisest thou the riches of his goodness, and patience, and longsuffering? Knowest thou not, that the benignity of God leadeth thee to penance?


8 Now if God clothe in this manner the grass that is to day in the field, and to morrow is cast into the oven; how much more you, O ye of little faith?


1 The sound of dread is always in his ears: and when there is peace, he always suspecteth treason.


9 Now the rest of the sets of Roboam, end all that he did, behold they are written in the book of the words of the days of the kings of Juda.


2 Dearly beloved, think not strange the burning heat which is to try you, as if some new thing happened to you;


1 Being subject one to another, in the fear of Christ.

3 Wherefore hath the wicked provoked God? for he hath said in his heart: He will not require it.
