In measure against measure, when it shall be cast off, thou shalt judge it. He hath meditated with his severe spirit in the day of heat.


Unto the end, for her that obtaineth the inheritance. A psalm of David: Give ear, O Lord, to my words, understand my cry.


But according to thy hardness and impenitent heart, thou treasurest up to thyself wrath, against the day of wrath, and revelation of the just judgment of God.


Thy hand destroyed the Gentiles, and thou plantedst them : thou didst afflict the people and cast them out.


And David said to Abisai: Now will Seba the son of Bochri do us more harm than did Absalom: take thou therefore the servants of thy lord, and pursue after him, lest he find fenced cities, and escape us.


3 And David and his men with him went by the way. And Semei by the hill's side went over against him, cursing, and casting stones at him, and scattering earth.


5 But in this way may we be allied with you, if you will be like us, and all the male sex among you be circumcised:


By reason of the misery of the needy, and the groans of the poor, now will I arise, saith the Lord. I win set him in safety; I will deal confidently in his regard.
