54 Judge my judgment and redeem me: quicken thou me for thy word's sake.


For thou hast said: Mercy shall be built up for ever in the heavens: thy truth shall be prepared in them.


3 And he strictly charged him, and forthwith sent him away.


How he swore to the Lord, he vowed a vow to the God of Jacob:


Unto the end, for a people that is removed at a distance from the sanctuary for David, for an inscription of a title (or pillar ) when the Philistines held him in Geth. Have mercy on me, O God, for man hath trodden me under foot; all the day long he hath afflicted me fighting against me.


7 As a woman with child, when she draweth near the time of her delivery, is in pain, and crieth out in her pangs: so are we become in thy presence, O Lord.


3 Let their eyes be darkened that they see not; and their back bend thou down always.


For thou art he that hast drawn me out of the womb: my hope from the breasts of my mother.


4 Let men of understanding speak to me, and let a wise man hearken to me.


2 Thou hast given us up like sheep to be eaten : thou hast scattered us among the nations.


9 Deliver not up to beasts the souls that confess to thee: and forget not to the end the souls of thy poor.


1 For God loveth mercy and truth: the Lord will give grace and glory.


Lord, my heart is not exalted: nor are my eyes lofty. Neither have I walked in great matters, nor in wonderful things above me.


The Lord is gracious and merciful: patient and plenteous in mercy.


4 Thau. Thou shalt render them a recompense, O Lord, according to the works of their hands.
