Now, why art thou drawn together with grief? Hast thou no king in thee, or is thy counsellor perished, because sorrow hath taken thee as a woman in labour?


1 But now I will not deal with the remnant of this people according to the former days, saith the Lord of hosts.


1 Let the heavens rejoice, and let the earth be glad, let the sea be moved, and the fulness thereof:


1 The Lord of armies is with us: the God of Jacob is our protector.


0 Let all thy works, O lord, praise thee: and let thy saints bless thee.


1 Having the glory of God, and the light thereof was like to a precious stone, as to the jasper stone, even as crystal.


For my soul is filled with evils: and my life hath drawn nigh to hell.


4 And the armies that are in heaven followed him on white horses, clothed in fine linen, white and clean.


3 Then if any man shall say to you: Lo here is Christ, or there, do not believe him.


and I will understand in the unspotted way, when thou shalt come to me. I walked in the innocence of my heart, in the midst of my house.

In the daytime the Lord hath commanded his mercy; and a canticle to him in the night. With me is prayer to the God of my life.
