For my soul is filled with evils: and my life hath drawn nigh to hell.


Unto the end, a psalm for the sons of Core. Hear these things, all ye nations: give ear, all ye inhabitants of the world.


Who shall ascend into the mountain of the Lord: or who shall stand in his holy place?


2 The least shall become a thousand, and a little one a most strong nation: I the Lord will suddenly do this thing in its time.


Say unto God, How terrible are thy works, O Lord! in the multitude of thy strength thy enemies shall lie to thee.


1 And I have put in it the ark, wherein is the covenant of the Lord, which he made with the children of Israel.


And I said: I have laboured in vain, I have spent my strength without cause and in vain: therefore my judgment is with the Lord, and my work with my God.


9 And the foundations of the wall of the city were adorned with all manner of precious stones. The first foundation was jasper: the second, sapphire: the third, a chalcedony: the fourth, an emerald:


4 Thou shalt eat, but shalt not be filled: and thy humiliation shall be in the midst of thee: and thou shalt take hold, but shalt not save: and those whom thou shalt save, I will give up to the sword.


but thou, O Lord, art most high for evermore.


But thou shalt consider with thy eyes: and shalt see the reward of the wicked.


As we have heard, so have we seen, in the city of the Lord of hosts, in the city of our God: God hath founded it for ever.


Thou art thyself my king and my God, who commandest the saving of Jacob.


And hospitality do not forget; for by this some, being not aware of it, have entertained angels.


5 As he came forth naked from his mother's womb, so shall he return, and shall take nothing away with him of his labour.


5 that they may shew, That the Lord our God is righteous, and there is no iniquity in him.


Thy people, O Lord, they have brought low: and they have afflicted thy inheritance.
