1 Now all chastisement for the present indeed seemeth not to bring with it joy, but sorrow: but afterwards it will yield, to them that are exercised by it, the most peaceable fruit of justice.


0 Do you not believe, that I am in the Father, and the Father in me? The words that I speak to you, I speak not of myself. But the Father who abideth in me, he doth the works.


And two and three cities went to one city to drink water, and were not filled: yet you returned not to me, saith the Lord.


Turn away thy eyes from me, for they have made me flee away. Thy hair is as a flock of goats, that appear from Galaad.


3 His cheeks are as beds of aromatical spices set by the perfumers. His lips are as lilies dropping choice myrrb.


Thy lips are as a scarlet lace: and thy speech sweet. Thy cheeks are as a piece of a pomegranate, besides that which lieth hid within.


He brought me into the cellar of wine, he set in order charity in me.


A wise man shall hear and shall be wiser: and he that understandeth, shall possess governments.


4 And Josaphat had peace with the king of Israel.


God is in the midst thereof, it shall not be moved: God will help it in the morning early.


Thou, O Lord, wilt preserve us.: and keep us from this generation for ever.
